Constructable Decor Items Explained

In Bakery Story and Restaurant Story, they are starting to require parts for some of the decor items. The constructable decor items work the same way as the constructable appliances.

You must have neighbors gift the parts to you. You can also request parts and receive them through the requests. And if you don't want to do the whole neighbor thing (but why not?! It is fun!) then you can purchase parts for 2 Gems each.

REMEMBER: In both games, you can receive 20 items per day from friends as gifts and 20 items per day from friends through requests, for a total of 40 items per day.

When you purchase Constructable items:
  • In the purchase panel, you will see a hammer next to the item.
  • When you purchase it, a box will appear in the place of the item.
  • Double tap on the box to manage your item. Under the manage screen, it will show all the parts required to build that item.  You can also request parts from your friends under this screen by clicking "Ask Friends" (then you just check box next to the names you would like to request parts from, you can receive 20 items per day through requests, but remember not all friends accept requests ever day).
  • Once you have all the parts required, a "build it" button will appear & you can finally have your new item!
Here is an example:

I have also seen constructable decor items in Pet Shop Story, but I haven't been following that game as close so I may or may not post those (maybe if I get finished posting all the BS and RS game info).

There have been two constructable decor items for Bakery Story and two constructable decor items for Restaurant Story.  I will post each of their parts requirements separately for easy reference. Be watching for future updates because I am guessing there will be many more constructable decor items in the future!
