Weekly Update Recap (RS)
New Mystery Chest for Restaurant Story
With last week's update, a new Mystery Chest was introduced in the game, called Steampunk Chest. It is my understanding that the Mystery Chests contain special decor items that you can only get via the Mystery Chest. They are themed decor items to match the themes for the other weekly update items.
Mystery Chests cost 24 Gems, which is the reason I haven't purchased any of them yet.
There are 4 prizes and you don't know what you are going to get. There is 1st, 2nd, 3rd or 4th. The 4th is the most common and the 1st is the rarest one.
If you open the new Mystery Box, leave me a message and let me know what you got!
Here is the post on the TeamLava messageboard that goes through all the prizes for the different theme Mystery Chests.

Constructable Decor Items Explained
In Bakery Story and Restaurant Story, they are starting to require parts for some of the decor items. The constructable decor items work the same way as the constructable appliances.
You must have neighbors gift the parts to you. You can also request parts and receive them through the requests. And if you don't want to do the whole neighbor thing (but why not?! It is fun!) then you can purchase parts for 2 Gems each.
REMEMBER: In both games, you can receive 20 items per day from friends as gifts and 20 items per day from friends through requests, for a total of 40 items per day.
When you purchase Constructable items:
I have also seen constructable decor items in Pet Shop Story, but I haven't been following that game as close so I may or may not post those (maybe if I get finished posting all the BS and RS game info).
There have been two constructable decor items for Bakery Story and two constructable decor items for Restaurant Story. I will post each of their parts requirements separately for easy reference. Be watching for future updates because I am guessing there will be many more constructable decor items in the future!

When you purchase Constructable items:
- In the purchase panel, you will see a hammer next to the item.
- When you purchase it, a box will appear in the place of the item.
- Double tap on the box to manage your item. Under the manage screen, it will show all the parts required to build that item. You can also request parts from your friends under this screen by clicking "Ask Friends" (then you just check box next to the names you would like to request parts from, you can receive 20 items per day through requests, but remember not all friends accept requests ever day).
- Once you have all the parts required, a "build it" button will appear & you can finally have your new item!

Want an appliance that's perfect for cooking Porridge? Get the Three Bears Oven! Word of warning though... it comes out Too Hot, Too Cold, or Just Right.

This is the Three Bears Oven, and I am guessing it is going to be a constructable appliance (meaning you have to build the machine with parts you get from your neighbors). I can't wait to see the new recipe(s) that this one will have! I love the adorable bear on the side of the oven :)

This steam punk-inspired Gear Cake is trendy... but don't be ahead of the times! If you eat it before it's cool, you'll burn your tongue.
I think this gear cake looks so cute!!! I love the gears on the side of the slice too.

What dogs do you all really want in your Pet Shop? I bet these Bloodhounds can sniff out the answer!

I haven't really been playing Pet Shop Story lately, but the dogs sure are adorable!
