So Long, Valentine's Day Edition 2012

I have found out that the Valentine's Day Edition 2012  for Bakery Story and Restaurant Story have been discontinued this week. So if you were in the middle of the goals, you won't be able to complete them. Shucks!!  I hope that you had enough time to at least get some of the decor items and recipes you had wanted.

Personally, my faves are the new appliances and recipes, but the decor items were pretty cute too (my fave decor being the Truffle Chair for BS!)

Decor Unlocked: Movie Poster (RS)

In Restaurant Story when you complete the Supercare set of goals, it unlocks a wall decor item, called Movie Poster.

It gives you 3 of the posters, and they are pretty cute. I added them to my restaurant right away LOL.

The Movie Posters show up at the very end of your Wall Decor items in the design section. You have to keep hitting the arrow over all the way to the end.

They actually hang down further than my ovens so I may move them somewhere else.

This was the last goal I completed for Restaurant Story: Valentine Edition and now more goals popped up so that is it!! It was really fun working on all the goals and I kinda wish there were more of them :)  The goals are a really fun aspect of the game.

Now I will just concentrate on using those new recipes so I can "Master" the recipes! I have a long way to go on that LOL.

Restaurant Story Update 2/10

The Restaurant Story update for this week was a lot like the Bakery Story update, all decor items.  Here is a quick run down of the new items!

There are two new wall decor items.

Cross My Heart picture -totally cute, I got one :)

Cupid's Arrows --Pretty cute too, but kinda hard to see it once it was hung up (you will see below)

Kissing Statue -This week's limited edition item, 4 days only, I thought it was really nice, but not worth the price.

Recipe Unlocked: Eggs in a Basket (RS)

Once I finished the Aspirations goal in Restaurant Story, I unlocked the Eggs in a Basket recipe. Here is the info on it:

Supercare Goal, Step 3 "Forbidden Hearts" (RS)

This is the third and final step in the Supercare goal. Once this step is completed, a wall decor item is unlocked.

Forbidden Hearts requirements:

• Serve 5 Chocolate Pretzels (a 4 hour recipe), can skip for 10 Gems (2 Gems per recipe), this recipe is unlocked with an earlier goal called Exacto Scallops. To read the requirements for step 1 of Exacto Scallops, click here!
• Serve 40 Quiche, can skip for 30 Gems (less than 1 Gem per recipe).
• Obtain 5 Clear Measuring Cups, must ask for these from your neighbors,  can skip for 5 Gems (1 Gem per item request).

Recipe Unlocked: Artichoke Hearts (RS)

I unlocked a new recipe in Restaurant Story!! This is the Artichoke Hearts recipe, that gets unlocked through the three steps of the Cook From the Heart goal. I was super bummed to see this recipe was a one day recipe, because it is just so darling, but oh well!!

Aspirations, Step 3 "Phoebe's New Recipe" (RS)

These are the details for the 3rd step in the Aspirations goal in Restaurant Story. This step is called Phoebe's New Recipe, and at the end of this step, it unlocks a new recipe.

Phoebe's New Recipe requirements:

• Serve 20 Baked Scallops (a 4 hour recipe), can skip for 20 Gems (1 Gem per recipe)
• Serve 30 Hamburger Sliders (a 2 hour recipe on the outdoor grill appliance, which is a constructible), can skip for 20 Gems (less than 1 Gem per recipe). Click here to read the parts required for the Outdoor Grill!
• Serve 50 Burritos (a 6 hour recipe), can skip for 50 Gems (1 Gem per recipe).

Supercare Goal, Step 2 "Bringing it Back" (RS)

This is the second step in the Supercare goal, called Bringing it Back. Once all three steps of this goal are completed, it unlocks this wall decor poster thingy.

Bringing it Back requirements:

• Serve 5 Tuna Makki (I think an 8 hour recipe, on the Sushi maker appliance), can skip for 15 Gems (3 Gems per recipe).
• Obtain 20 Sweet Valentines, must request these from your neighbors, can skip for 40 (2 Gems per item request).
• Serve 15 Macaroni and Cheeses (a 12 hour recipe), can skip for 15 Gems (1 Gem per recipe).

Reward for completing this step:

Cook From the Heart Goal, Step 3 "All Chocked Up" (RS)

This is the third and final step in the Cook From the Heart goal in Restaurant Story. This step is called  All 'Choked Up (he he Artichoke pun, get it??) and it unlocks the Artichoke recipe.

All Choked Up requirements:

• Complete Chocolate Maker, must request parts from your neighbors or buy the parts outright. To read about the parts requirements for the Chocolate Maker, click here!
• Serve 10 Chocolate Hearts (an 8 hour recipe), can skip for 10 Gems (1 Gem per recipe).
• Serve 30 Sashimi (a 2 hour recipe on the Sushi Maker appliance), can skip for 30 Gems (1 Gem per recipe).

Reward for completing this step:
A new recipe!! YAY!!

When this goal is completed, the following screen pops up, telling you that you've unlocked the new recipe!!

Recipe Unlocked: Heart Steaks (RS)

I completed the On the Fritz goal which unlocks the Heart Steaks recipe. These are pretty adorable, I think. Nothing says love quite like a chunk of dead animal sliced up in the shape of a heart, right?? LOL

Anyway, this recipe is cooked on the regular grill appliance (not the new Indoor Grill that came out recently).

This is the second step in the Aspirations goal in Restaurant Story. It is called The Tip Jar.

• Serve 5 Heart Steaks (you unlock this recipe in a different set of goals, a 2 hour recipe on the grill), can skip for 15 Gems (3 Gems per recipe).
